First aired: 12/11/1957Arriving in a frontier town to deliver type from Benjamin Franklin to printer Nathan Peale, Hawkeye and Chingachgook find themselves involved in the midst of a battle for freedom of the press. Peale is arrested for the murder of his brother-in-law.
38. The Indian Doll
First aired: 12/18/1957An unscrupulous medicine man, Redwing, of the Turtle tribe, administers a drug to Snowbird, daughter of Chief Killbuck, to discredit Hawkeye and all white men in the eyes of his people. He accuses Hawkeye of casting an evil spell on the little girl.
39. Circle of Hate
First aired: 12/25/1957A young army lietenant whose family has been wiped out by Indians has developed a fanatical hatred of the Red Man. He attempts to kill or injure any Indian who crosses his path. When Hawkeye and Chingachgook enter the territory they hear of the Indians anger and their desire for revenge that can only lead to full scale war.
