In December 2006, Franklin appeared as Chopper on the Network Ten "The Christmas Panel" special (edit) Heath is one several people that came up with the idea for The Ronnie Johns Half Hour. (edit) Heath read The Lord of the Rings more than once, but admits to not remembering more than the main characters. (edit) Heath enjoys reading plays. He has said they're just as enjoyable as novels now that he's used to reading scripts. (edit) Heath used to be a bricklayer in Melbourne before he moved to Sydney. (edit)

Heath: Trevor Griffiths' The Comedians changed the way I think about comedy and its place in society as a tool for comment. End is breathtaking. (edit) Dan Ilic: Heath insists [Ronnie Johns] is not gay, but I prefer to think of him as 'of ambiguous gender.' (edit) Dan Ilic: A few of our sketches were a bit too blue... so Heath [Franklin] had the idea that a character should come out and apologise for them. So, from that, Heath's Ronnie Johns came about. He'd come out and apologise for the crudeness, but in doing that he'd fluff up his lines and make things worse! It basically gives permission for the audience to laugh. (edit) Heath: Ned Kelly would have made a good PM. (edit) Heath: Catch-22 by Joseph Heller is my favourite book. It creates its own form of anti-logic, is laden with great characters and is damning of bureaucracy and war. It thoroughly entertained me from sentence to sentence. Joseph Heller was once told that he hadn’t written a book as good as Catch-22 since, to which he replied: 'Has anyone?' (edit)
