She attended the 2007 Superman Celebration in Metropolis, Illinois, where she showed interest in a guest appearance on "Smallville". With the character, Supergirl scheduled to appear in the show for it's seventh season, Ms. Slater was instantly selected for a guest appearance by the show's producers.
