Show Summary

Aspiring young chefs are put to the ultimate challenge in Hell's Kitchen , a reality television competition starring world renowned chef Gordon Ramsay. Each of these chefs dreams of fame and fortune, but many soon find their dreams becoming nightmares. Chef Ramsay demands quality and the intensityMore of the challenges is beyond anything the contestants can ever imagine. Split into two teams, they must compete against each other to provide their very best in the kitchen. If they do, they are lavishly rewarded with everything from extravagant trips to a ride on Ramsay's personal yacht. Those that fail are forced to suffer humiliating punishment. At the end of each episode, the chef who provided the best performance in Ramsay's opinion on the losing team is chosen to select two chefs from their own team for elimination. They must then give their reasons for their selection. Though one of these two chefs may be eliminated, Ramsay is under no obligation to choose either, and the final decision as to who is sent home is made solely by him. From Waffle House chefs to executive chefs, the competitors are tested in every way possible, from leadership skills to culinary skills. Traditional challenges include a taste-test of everyone's palette and special events such as birthdays and weddings. The chefs, however, must always be on their toes, as they never know when surprises may be coming. Watch now for the sixth season of the program, now airing every Tuesday night at 8 P.M. on FOX! Previous season - Hell's Kitchen aired the fifth season at 9 P.M. on Thursdays In this, the fifth season, contestants competed for the position of head chef at a restaurant in the Atlantic City's Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa-- one being built specifically for the winner. • Betting Odds - Final Four --> Final Two

We're down to just the final four now, so let's take a look at the remaining chefs and their chances of making it into the final two... Benjamin Knack 15/1 Benjamin definitely has some strong culinary skills and has only been nominated once for elimination. But it was the most recentMore episode in which he was nominated and he's really been on a downward trend lately. Once more, both Chef Ramsay and Chef Scott told him that they don't feel that he can lead. Time is running out for him and I'd be very surprised if he makes it to the final two. Autumn Lewis 10/1 She's dodged so many bullets before that it seems foolish to bet against her, but based on her general performance and the number of times she's been nominated, I really can't give her a better chance than this. She has a lot of problems cooking and just doesn't have the drive that some of the others have. Also, the other chefs are right that she is lazy at times, and I think Chef Ramsay has noticed this too to some degree, though for some reason he's been letting her continue up till this point. Jay Santos 1/10 He seems pretty solid at this point, though he's had some problems here and there recently. Never been nominated for elimination. I think he's got a pretty strong shot of making it in. Holli Uglade 1/20 This one seems such a virtual certainty at this point that I'd just be shocked if it turns out that she doesn't make it into the final two. She has almost never gotten into trouble during service, never been nominated for elimination and just seems to be really strong all around. The only possible concern that might come into play is if for some reason Chef Ramsay doesn't think that she can be a leader, but other than that, she's golden. Oh, that and the admittedly remote chance of something involving her and Jay somehow sabotaging her chances. But those are just my odds-- so if anyone else feels differently about the remaining chefs' chances (or wants to add to or argue with something I said), go ahead and share your thoughts!

  • Holli and Jay

Okay, so I have to admit, I'm actually rather curious. Just what exactly is going on between these two, and what about it is going to cause Ramsay to do something that he's never done before? I guess we'll find out next week, but it's looking like things are definitely serious between them.

Best reality show on TV, food channel meets survivor. hide show

Hell's Kitchen is a great reality show, mixing a love of cooking, eating with the high drama and high stakes atmosphere of a real restaurant. The show features teams, eliminations, competitions, and of course the highlight dinner service, where chefs are put to the test to see how they perform under pressure. Its a delight to watch Chef Ramsey intensity as he tries to pull out the best from his chefs, and although some people might initially be put off by his harshness, its amazing to see what he can bring out in people under pressure. If you are looking for a great show to watch tune in to Hell's Kitchen for a great night of entertainment

New Challenge: meal for the special diets hide show

Thank you for a great show but how about spicing it up with several special challenges. Prepare a meal for a family on restrictive diet such as: "No pasta, No rice, No potatoes, No bread, No sugar, No yogert, No fruit juice". This is what I live with. Try to make is taste good and easy to fix so that a mom could fix it after working all day. Or can be cooked on days off and then frozen so that it can be warmed up later in the week. And I would love to have a copy of what ever you come up with. Broiled meat and salads are getting very old. Thank you Chief.

I am so glad we have been blessed with gordon ramsey showing us his secrets and sharing his recipes with us. He is an amazing chef. hide show

After just watching the show f word i enjoy seeing gordon ramsey on a calmer basis and again his recipes inspire me . His quest to pull the fruits or meats from the land in which he is cooking is awesome to bad more people did not think like he does. Being from the north our meat is beef and have substituted lamb in his recipes for beef several times and found them to be equally delicious. Lamb is something that is hard to get here .I look forwar to recording more recipes from the next hells kitchen as i strive to master his recipes.

17 Chefs and One Gordon Ramsey equals 13 Weeks of Madness! hide show

Hell's Kitchen was one of those shows that I would love to watch when it was on, but never took the time to watch a full season. This last season I finally got down to watching the whole season, from beginning to end. And I do say I see why the show has been around for 6 seasons: a competitive show about a group of ambitious (but not always competent) chefs fighting and cooking their way to the top FTW and for Chef Ramsey's approval. Now for all good that this show, I'm still curious about a couple of things. First of all, if these contestants are supposed to be the "best" of all those that auditioned, then are there always the 3-5 contestants that looked like they would fail a high school cooking class? Also, if all those who audition know what is going to happen to them, then why did we see contestants like Joseph completely go off on Ramsey in a prideful fit of rage? But as I ask these questions, I know the answer: Entertainment Value. The show just wouldn't be as fun if all the chefs were good, honest and respectable members of society. I guess this is the same reason why some chefs got second, third and fourth chances when they didn't deserve it (e.g. Suzanne). However, despite those few misgivings, I still love this show. There is just something inspiring about watching people passionate about what they love doing what they love, it makes you want to get a passion for something yourself. So my chef's hat is off to Hell's Kitchen, where the passion is so hot, its Fire!
