Based on the Love Bug movies produced by Walt Disney Productions from 1969 to 1980, with Dean Jones reprising the role he had played in The Love Bug (1969) and Herbie Goes To Monte Carlo (1977). Herbie was a Volkswagen Beetle with a mind of its own, and the star of this light-hearted comedy… More series. Herbie had "adopted" its owner, Jim Douglas, and spent much of its time looking out for his welfare, including finding him an attractive young wife. Julie MacLane, a divorcée with three young children, was the chosen bride, discovered by Herbie and Jim when they thwarted a bank robbery in which she was being held hostage. Despite the efforts of her former boyfriend, Randy Bigelow, to disrupt her new romance, Jim prevailed and the two were married in the forth episode. Jim ran a driving school with help from easy-going Bo Phillips, but his limited income from this venture forced him to also teach driver education at a local high school. Movies staring Herbie are as followed: The Love Bug 1969 Herbie Rides Again 1974 Herbie Goes To Monte Carlo 1977 Herbie Goes Bananas 1980 The Love Bug (TV remake from 1997) Herbie: Fully Loaded 2005
Ok I never saw this. hide show
But the movie was bad enough. Both of them. Hard to believe they remade the movie.
It lasted 6 episodes. Gee, I wonder why. Maybe because the entire concept is extremely disturbing? Or maybe because it was a blatant attempt to feed off the carcass of the movie? The only living car show that is worse was My Mother The Car. And NO! Knight Rider does not count as a living car since it was just a computer.
If any of you pinhead Hollywood writers even have the thought of another living car show? Do the public a favor and throw yourself into an active volcano. Please!!!
Comedy series based on the classic Feature films from the 60s and 70s hide show
This short lived comedy series really rescues one of the most lovable Disney characters of all time. Jones still looks great at his role as Driver Jim Douglas. Some of the situation in the series are really hilarious. Unfortunately this kind of white and clean entertainment is no longer made.
A talking car. Weird. BUt a talking bug car? What the flippin' **** is up with that? Not cool. Not worth my time. I find watching two pianos fight each other to the death more intresting than this crappy ass show. If it is one thing i hate, it is crappy television shows.
