A dragon named Braxis was on the loose in Laurentia, destroying villages and killing warriors who had been comrades of Iolaus and Hercules. The warlord Adamis and the evil Cynea were behind the dragon's actions. They manipulated Braxis and even convinced him that Hercules and Iolaus were responsible for his mother's death. First the two heroes had to fight Braxis until they could make him understand the truth. Then Adamis attacked, accidentally killing Cynea in the fracas. Braxis engulfed Adamis in a fireball, ending the warlord's reign of terror.

Hercules: Give it up Adamis, your soldiers are gone, Cynea is gone, it's over!
Adamis:Not yet! Drop your weapons or I'll kill him! I killed his mother the same way. If you're quick enough, you'll barely get any blood on you.
Braxis: (Growling) YOU killed my mother!
Adamis: Traitor!
(Hercules throws his sword releasing Braxis)
Braxis: You're the traitor!
(Braxis engulfs Adamis in a fireball) (edit) Hercules: Ah, you had no way of knowing Cynea was Adamis' lover.
Iolaus: Then how come I feel like such a fool?
Hercules: Because you're a passionate, intense person. It's part of your charm!
Iolaus: Yeah?
Hercules: Nah. I was just being nice. (edit) Hercules: Hang on, Iolaus!
Iolaus: (Hanging from the dragon's mouth) Like I have a choice?! (edit)

The title of this episode refers to the famous short story "The Lady, or the Tiger" by Frank R. Stockton, in which a king determines guilt or innocence in his subjects by forcing them to choose a door- one of which has a beautiful woman behind it, and the other which has a ravenous tiger waiting.
