Following a scent in the wind, a star in the sky. The ancient message comes, calling the kindred to take flight and gather together. Only then can they hope to survive the cruel season to come. edit »
- Mohinder: They call it zugunruhe. A pull of the soul to a far-off place.
Zugunruhe is a term in biology that describes the anxiety felt by migratory animals when they are unable to migrate (for example, when they are in captivity). The word is German in origin, and is derived from the words Zug (a pulling, move, or migration) and Unruhe (unrest). edit » - Janice Parkman: It's like you're in my head.
This is the same phrase Lola (Marisa Tomei) says to Nick Marshall (Mel Gibson) in What Women Want when they where in moreless the same situation in that movie. edit » - Hiro: Using my powers for personal gain. That's the Dark Side.
In Star Wars, "the Force" is described as "an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us, penetrates us, and binds the galaxy together." Those trained in manipulating the Force can move objects, see the future or perform other superhuman feats. When using the Force for good, one is using the Light Side of the Force. When Force manipulation is self-serving or used out of anger or hatred, one is said to be using the Dark Side of the Force. Hiro's use of his powers for personal gain would be aligned with using the Dark Side of the Force. edit » - Hiro: Up, up and Away!
When parting ways from Nathan, Hiro says this phrase, popularized by Superman many years ago whenever he'd take to the skies. edit »
