When time is first stopped at the beginning of this episode, there is a briefcase frozen as it is falling open. When the progress of time resumes, the man with the now-closed briefcase can be seen in the background picking up invisible objects from the floor in annoyance. edit »
Goof: When Hiro and Ando are being thrown from the van onto the desert, one of the guys in the van throws a white suitcase at Hiro, after he stands up, in the next shot, the white suitcase has been replaced with a yellow one. In the previous episode, we can clearly see that Hiro's suitcase was yellow. edit »
When Hiro addresses Nathan, he calls him "Petrelli nii-san" which is Japanese for "big brother Petrelli."

Zugunruhe is a term in biology that describes the anxiety felt by migratory animals when they are unable to migrate (for example, when they are in captivity). The word is German in origin, and is derived from the words Zug (a pulling, move, or migration) and Unruhe (unrest). edit »

In Star Wars, "the Force" is described as "an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us, penetrates us, and binds the galaxy together." Those trained in manipulating the Force can move objects, see the future or perform other superhuman feats. When using the Force for good, one is using the Light Side of the Force. When Force manipulation is self-serving or used out of anger or hatred, one is said to be using the Dark Side of the Force.
