Show Summary [edit]

In the sequel, school's out for summer and now, the competition moves from the fields of high school to the lawns of high society -- also known as the Country Club. When the other East High students get summer jobs there, before long, they face off over the country club's annual mid-summer's night musical production, which Sharpay is dying to get the award for and the winning spot to be Troy's true love.

Apparently HSM3 is going to be on the Big Screen in 2008. It was supposed to be "Haunted High School Musical" where ghosts invade East High but its gonna end up being about the end of senior year for the wild cats which included graduation and prom and be called "High School Musical 3: Gradu-Dancin'" (but there will still be a ghostly side story). Not everyone has signed on for 3 but Disney is "hopeful and optimistic we'll pull everybody back together."

I am excited for High School Musical 2 and 3. It would be really cool. Plus all there songs are catchy so if they get new songs then that would be cool. I would totally go watch it in theatres if it came out.

ehh, I'm not really excited for HSM3. It's because they don't need HSM3. But I'm excited for HSM2 than HSM3! Then why they wants maked 3rd movie?

Er... ghosts and senior prom. Wonderful. xD

I think this is just an attempt at keeping the flame of the High School Musical phenomenon alive. It's obviously got millions of fans who would gladly watch these movies... and buy the merchendise. Obviously the HSM thing is reeling in big bucks for disney, so I suppose a third movie is to be expected. I'll watch it, but I think there will soon be HSM overkill...

ehh. idon't like that idea at all. they should keep it to disney channel. i don't really care if they make a 3rd one, as long as it is good. but from what you said it seems kind of stupid, like ghosts? whats that all about.

i really think they should keep it to disney channel though. it would be stupid if they didn't

yea. im a HUGE fan of HSM1 and 2. but i am still trying to picture an HSM3. i mean, there is only so much you can do with it without pulling another boy meets world. and then if it really bad it will REALLY bomb because it in theatres.....

I think the whole prom idea makes for a great plot, but in theaters? Um...no thanks. I love High School Musical, and I'd love for it to go on forever, but they've gotta stop while they're still ahead. Otherwise people will only remember how the sequal(s?) bombed. Sorry, but there's no way I'm spending eight dollars to go see HSM 3 in theaters; and by the time HSM 3 actually comes out, I doubt anyone else will want to either.

OhGosh. It's over kill really. Don't get me wrong. I love HSM but, there is so many time you can pull a rubber ban before it breaks(that's a awierd comparison but, it makes sense) The concert was reasonable but for as ice show was just strange. What I'm curious about to see is who of the original cast will sign on for HSM3. I highly doubt it will be as succesful as projected if ALL of the original actors/actress weren't there. I agrre with everyone who thinks they should stop before they are ahead.

i doubt theyll have ghosts. it is gonna be senior year (graduation,prom,ect.). the original plans were it to be a halloween movie but i think they scrapped that. otherwise itd be soo cheesy. but i think hsm3 should be the last one
