Barbara Stephens reprises her role as Barbara Stewart in this episode. Although the character was last seen in 1995 played by Rona McLeod, Barbara Stephens had not played Barbara since the late 1980s.

Although Laura Vasquez reprises her role as Sarah Thompson in this episode, she never speaks on screen and we only learn that Sarah and Tug have married through a conversation between Irene and Pippa.

Mike Perjanik’s piano peice dubbed "Bobby's Theme" was used as an underscore in this episode to the speeches at Alf's party. It was previously only used for important scenes featuring, or about, the character of Bobby. It was used right up until her death and then never heard again until Episode 4000.
