When Irma can't host her show (Cooking with Irma) for a week, she asks Al to fill-in as host and Tim to be his assistant. Tim has a hard time not being the centre of attention, but when Jill shows him that he can assist her in the kitchen, he decides to continue to help Al. Meanwhile, Randy finds it hard to talk to a girl in his class named Beth.

Randy: (about a girl he likes) What should I say to her?
Jill: Well, you could say something like "hello."
Randy: Yeah. "Hello." That's good. "Hello, Beth." No. Maybe...(turns around and turns his head back seductively) "Hi, Beth." Or maybe "Hi" and no "Beth." I mean, she knows who she is, right? Right?
Jill: Right, right. Will you relax? (edit) Jill: (about Randy's class picture) Let me see yours.
Randy: I look like a total dork.
Jill: Oh yeah, right. Come on. Let me see it. Where are you?
Randy: Well...(Randy shows her the picture)
Jill: Well, you look very cute for someone who's looking at the girl sitting next to him with his tongue hanging out. (edit) Randy: What were the first words you said to a girl you liked?
Wilson: I believe they were "Hidey-ho, good-looking"! (edit) Randy: I can't believe Beth is coming here! What if I don't know what to say?
Tim: Just talk about yourself the whole time. Women love that.
Jill: I'm surprised you didn't tell him to burp for Beth.
Tim: That doesn't come until the second date. (edit) Jill: (when Randy is nervous about talking to a girl he likes) Pretend I'm Beth. Talk to me.
Randy: I don't know what to say.
Jill: Tell me I'm pretty.
Randy: Are you Beth or Mom?
Jill:(long pause) Does it matter?
Randy: You're pretty, Beth. ( not sure what to say) And Mom. (edit)
