House Of Mouse is the former but even better Mickey Mouse Works. "House of Mouse" is a nightclub-type theater, where Mickey himself emcees nightly. Stars of every Disney film ever made are seated in the audience, often becoming part of the show themselves, as Mickey and his friends entertain and premiere original cartoons. "The show must go on," as Mickey and gang must keep the club running, so Pete, the owner of the building, doesn't shut it down.


A Christmas special entitled "Snowed in at the House of Mouse" is available on DVD and VHS. The DVD edition includes the first episode of the series, The Stolen Cartoons, in the "Special Features" section. Also available is soundtrack for this series, which features original songs as well as older Disney favorites. The album is available on Disney Records (the cover for the CD is the picture shown here). Now, Mickey's House Of Villains makes it's way on DVD and Video Sept. 3, 2003 for the villains musical number "It's Our House Now."



Characters

Mickey Mouse - Emcee Mickey Mouse hosts the nightclub, that's the hottest spot on Main Street, and the tooniest place on Earth, The House of Mouse. He is a kind-hearted and popular American icon that's been around since the '20s, and has been the Disney mascot since.

Minnie Mouse - When pandemonium breaks loose anywhere in the club, you can always count on Mickey's girlfriend, Minnie, to straiten things out from behind the scenes. When Mickey starts to panic from pressure, Minnie's there to calm him down.

Pluto - Mickey's faithful dog, Pluto, is also there, behind the scenes, keeping things in order.

Donald Duck - Donald Duck, owns The House of Mouse 50-50 with his best friend, Mickey. It's also his job to greet guests at the door. He can loose his temper very easily, but he can remain calm, if he tries... sometimes.

Daisy Duck - Donald's girlfriend, Daisy Duck, is responsible for having guests reserved and seated. She also does some pretty weird stuff every time Mickey gives her a chance on the stage.

Goofy Goof - Mickey and Donald's other friend, Goofy, is headwaiter of the club. With his clumsiness, we can be sure a lot of dishes are broken! Despite that, and that he shows little common sense, he's a loyal friend.

Maximilian "Max" Goof - Goofy's skateboard-cool, teenage son is valet of the club. Now, if only he could get his own car.

Gus Goose - Gus is the club cook. Just try to keep him from eating the food.

Clarabelle Cow - This cow is the queen of Main Street gossip. If she hears something juicy, she can't keep her mouth shut!

Horace Horsecollar - Horace is in charge of all multimedia works of the club. He runs cartoons, lights, sounds, you name it. The one line you're bound to hear directed to him is, "Hit it, Horace!"

Pete - Pete is the landlord of the building The House of Mouse takes place in... and he'll do anything to stop the show and shut down the club.

• What Disney Charactors have never been on this show?

  I noticed that there are alot of Disney charactors that have never been on this show before and I'm not counting the Classic Disney tv show charactors nor live action Disney movie charactors either. I noticed that there's been nothing from 'The Fox and the Hound' on here before.

  THIS IS THE BEST TOONDISNEY SHOW EVER! hide « show »

  I got to say that it's a very awesome show.All of the Disney movie characters are in here and it's very awesome that they did that.Everybody is there including all of the classic movie characters and the best one Mickey Mouse is hosting it.It's very cool of the plot of every episode that they are sitting on those tables in that club.This is now one of the grades that I grade this show and that is that it's a B because it was pretty cool of the idea of this show and every Disney character is in there too.A very good show.

  Pre-Hannah Montana Disney had some pretty good shows: this one was one of the best. hide « show »

  If there's anything I love it's good cross overs, estentially what every episode of House of Mouse was. Basically, Mickey Mouse and co run a night club that shows reruns of Mikey Mouse Cartoons (from as Mickey Mouse Works to orginals 40s)-these act as fillers between the main plot of the episode-and his customers are just about every animated Disney character ever created. Ever. The black culdron characters, that dragon, and all those other B listers who are really easy to get autographs from at Disney Parks? All there, as well as, of course, the main stays like the Cinderella and Snow White Cast. Throughout the show Pete tries to sceme his way into ownership of the club (which as Land Lord, he can accomplish if ever the show fails to go on) and classic cartoon refrences are frequently made. While you may stick up you nose I say "it's a kid show" or that it "messes with continuity" I changlle you to find a kid's show that doesn't suck now a days or to look at the Disney Parks. How's THAT for some continuity breaking character interaction. Post Hannah Montana Disney Channel is out right horrible and it's great to find a TV show that does classic Disney some justice.

  Amazing Mickey hide « show »

  THis show rocks. i watch it when ever it is on. the house of mouse is a great title an an ideal for children's programing / tv viewing habits . then they canceled new ones . then they Got Rid Of Toon Disney :( :( :( and toon disney on demand :( :( :( i was so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so sad! ! this show was awesome

  Disney's House of Mouse brings the classic characters back into a show where Mickey Mouse and his friends own a nightclub. They also show some classic Disney cartoons, too. It brings back a lot because I love the classics. Some of the cartoons are new, but that's okay with me. One of my favorite parts about the show is how some of my favorite Disney characters make cameos in certain episodes. It's sad to me they don't make any more episodes, but I guess that's the way it's got to be. Anyway, Mickey and other character fans will love this show.

  This was a good idea that Disney came up with. hide « show »

  I think it was a good idea to make a Disney series that brought many Disney charactors together. Each episode has something special happen where a charactor guest stars or one of the main charactors takes over the House of Mouse. Disney did a very wonderful job picking out the voices since they sound almost identical to their original voices. Disney has never failed to pick out any good voices yet. The only thing I found wrong was that they had most of each episode taken over by 3 'Mickey Mouse Works' cartoon shorts and/or classic cartoons of Mickey and co. I think it would have been a better idea to have one short for each episode so that we could see more of the cool crossover stuff. I think if this series continued, they could have had more cool stuff happen like a sequel to the Super Goof episode, charactors from retro Disney shows like 'Darkwing Duck', etc. and it would have been nice to see an episode that fetured 'Steamboat Willy' since that was the very first Mickey Mouse cartoon ever made. I defenitly feel like this series lasted too short and it needs to have another season or more.
