House: You like exotic. Why are you here?
Brennan: I want this job.
House: Parents sick?
Brennan: No, I... I just...
House: This is not the job you want. This is the job in the zip code you want. You engaged?
Brennan: Yes.
House: Tadaa! (edit)
Kutner: Wait, how do you want us to split up?
House: Good question, Overly Excited Former Foster Kid. There's ten of you. I was thinking six against six... no wait... (edit)
House: You ladies have the honor to give the patient a feeding tube, discharge him, and show up for work tomorrow. The rest of you, you're a disappointment. You make me want to stop dangling. (edit)
Cole: What are we supposed to be doing? It's almost 4.
Kutner: You've got somewhere to be?
Twin: We know he likes to manipulate people. He's probably testing us.
Amber: To find out what? How long we can look stupid for? He said he'd be here by 3. He's obviously not coming. I'm going home.
Cole: Nobody follow her. She pied pipered nine people right out of the job last week. (edit)
Cole: Why are you late?
House: To see who'd put up with it.
Cole: So if we left, we would have been fired?
House: I was gonna fire whoever stuck around. But since everyone stuck around... (edit)

Trivia

add »
When House and Wilson are arguing about Stark's belief in the afterlife, House says "he hasn't been there," implying he's never been dead, but in the season one episode "Three Stories" he is actually dead for about two minutes and says he's observed scenes from outside his body, mainly of the two patients in the episode. (edit)
When Stark is dying, Jody supposedly switches the tubing that is draining his chest fluid from the full bottle to an empty one. However, after Stark dies and the camera pulls back, the tubing is still going to the full bottle. (edit)

Allusions

add »
House: Will there be 72 virgins also?
This is a reference to Islam, where supposedly martyrs will have 72 virgins waiting for them in heaven. (edit)
House: Thank you all for coming to Tribal Council.
House is mimicking the line said very often by Jeff Probst, host of the TV show Survivor. Survivor pits people against each other in strange locations and votes these people off in tribal councils. (edit)
Dr. Wilson: Interestingly, the rain in Spain doesn’t actually fall in the plain all that much.
Referencing the song from the musical My Fair Lady, by Lerner and Lowe. The song references the phonetic phrase "The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain," which Professor Higgins uses to teach proper pronunciation to Eliza Doolittle. (edit)
House: Is he a Vulcan? If no, what makes Nimoy bleed green?
Referencing the TV series Star Trek, and actor Leonard Nimoy who plays the Vulcan science officer Mr. Spock. Natives of Vulcan have copper-based blood, hence the green color. (edit)
