  • Mark can't feel his legs and a nurse comes to see him, but the same nurse is seen at the same time in the lobby when House and Stacy come to see Mark, going in an opposite direction but when they enter Mark's room the same nurse is there. edit »
  • At the end, we see both sides of the vicodin pill as it flies through the air. The pill is blank on both sides. While vicodin is usually a white pill about that size, it would have an identifying mark on it regardless of which company manufactured it. The mark is usually a cursive capitol V. edit »
  • When Stacy comes into the lab to talk with Cameron, she's holding a cup of coffee in an awkward position as if it's nearly full, but it's clearly empty from various camera angles. edit »
  • Music: The song playing in the bar, where Wilson meets House, is "I Call It Love" by Windy Wagner. edit »
  • Song in the scene where Stacy comes to House's office is "Delia" by Blind Willie McTell. Music in the closing scene is "You Can't Always Get What You Want" by the Rolling Stones. The latter was also used to conclude the pilot episode. edit »
  • Sela Ward is billed as "Special Guest Star." edit »
  • Stacy: (to House) What's so great about you is you always think you're right. What's so frustrating about you is you are right so much of the time. edit »
  • House: I think I upset him.
Dr. Foreman: You've got to stop this, now!
Mark Warner: I remember the honeymoon was in Paris. I remember, 'cause we didn't leave the room for two weeks. You want the details on that?!
    House: A little defensive.
Dr. Foreman: It's not paranoia if someone's out to get you. edit »
  • House: I diagnosed him, I did my job. You want somebody to tie him down and force him into treatment, well, you’re way better at that than I am.
Stacy: Is that what this is? Payback for your leg? How many times have we been over this; I saved your life.
    House: Yeah, maybe.
Stacy: You’re going to kill my husband to teach me a lesson?
House: No, he’s going to die because he’s too stubborn to make the right choice.
Stacy: Now we’re in your territory.
House: I’m respecting your husband’s decision, I don’t see why you’ve got a problem with that. edit »
  • House: I got Mark’s latest blood work, he’s not responding to treatment.
    Dr. Wilson: I’m sorry.
House: I was happy. He’s my patient. I’m sure he’s a good guy, he’s probably a great guy. Probably a much better guy than I am. And some part of me wants him to die. I’m just not sure if it’s because I want to be with her or if it’s because I want her to suffer. edit »
  • Dr. Foreman: Chase! (reading a letter found on a plate of cookies) “Dear "House" boys. A snack for your highly illegal search. Hope you like oatmeal raisin. Love, Stacy.” edit »
  • House: Dr. Mandingo - you're needed at the plantation house.
Referencing the novel "Mandingo" by Kyle Onstott, the source of at least one play and several movie versions, about a slave in the 1840s who is having an affair with his owner's wife. edit »
