When aunt Molly, Laura and Zeb are on a boat, it's attacked by pirates. They knock Zeb out and throws him into the water while they kidnap the girls. The girls manage to escape from the pirates' camp with the man who gave aunt Molly a lot of attention, whilst on the boat, and make their way to his house. But there's something fishy about it. Zeb, on the other hand, finds himself taken care of by a young girl and her mother. But he does not know that the head of their house is one of the pirates, and he's not too happy to have Zeb as a guest.

Rancher Henry Coe hires a professional gunman to drive the Macahans off what he considers to be his property. Frank Grayson ingratiates himself with the Macahans, but Josh recognizes him as the gunman once hired to kill Luke.
