NOTES

  • Although this was the 14th episode shown, it was the first one filmed for the series, and it shows. The plot and action scenes were some of the weakest of the series and much of Culp and Cosby's famous chemistry was still missing. Also, Cosby has mentioned that he felt his dramatic acting debut was very shaky and unsure at the time. The comedian/actor certainly made up for his initial inexperience by being nominated four times and thrice winning a Best Dramatic Actor Emmy during the life of the series. edit »

ALLUSIONS

  • When Scott and Kelly are getting Mr. Wade off alone, you see a couple of shots where their jackets may show their true alliances- their jackets are red(Scott), white (Wade), and blue (Kelly)!


    During the train ride, Scott speaks of Philadelphia and coaching basketball. Philadelphia is Mr. Cosby's hometown and he is a long-time fan of basketball. edit »
