- Luther Benson: So I gets back from the game and there's these two pi .. police officers waiting for me saying something about a burglary. Man, I said they got to be jive'in. Excuse me do you want one of these?
Ironside: No, I'll take a raincheck.
Luther Benson: So, I let's 'em in and we searches every inch of this place and I do mean every inch.
Ironside: And nothing was missing.
Luther Benson: No, I told the Sergeant that before we started. I mean who would want to rob me. I mean just feast your eyes Mr. Ironside, I mean I ain't exactly what anybody might want to call rich you know. I mean it ain't always been like this, you dig, but I ain't got nothin'.
Ironside: Perhaps you might have had something that belonged to somebody else.
Luther Benson: Oh?
Ironside: Well you could have had alot of cash on hand if you were oh say a numbers runner.
Luther Benson: (stammering) Oh, no ah, wait just a minute, hold it right there Mr. Ironside becuz ah ... are you accusing me?
Ironside: No, I'm terribly terribly sorry Mr. Benson, I was just letting my imagination run away with me.
Luther Benson: Uh huh that's exactly whatcha doing, your imagination was just running away witcha.
Ironside: I apologize.
Luther Benson: Hey, I accept your apology.
Ironside: Poker game is it over now.
Luther Benson: Yep, it broke up when I left.
Ironside: Where was it?
Luther Benson: Now see there ya go again. I mean you asking me questions like I'm the criminal instead of the victim.
Ironside: But your not a victim, you just said so.
Luther Benson: Well ... yeah well I ain't either one.
Ironside: Would you just mind humoring me? Just humor me, answer the question.
Luther Benson: (nodding his head) What was the question?
Ironside: What was the question? Where was the poker game?
