A judge decides to begin a series of lectures about a case that he tried eight years previously, the result of which was that a man was executed. Immediately he starts to receive death threats; but with no clues to help, the Chief may not be able to find the would-be murderer - who may, it appears, have committed the murder in the original case as well. Clerk: You make the job too easy.
Ed: They want your life history around here.
Dresher: The cybernetic age. We're a nation gathering statistics.
Ed: I hear the course is worth it though.
Dresher: McIntire is a real life Judge, famous.
Ed: Plus the department murder case.
Dresher: Should be interesting after eight years. I remember the case well. I testified in it. edit »
  • Judge McIntire:(reading Chalkboard writing) Je ne regrette rien. I regret nothing. That's the name of a love song popular in France at the moment I think. Ah the French, they carry love and logic to an absurdity. (class laughs) Case number 678549 the people of the state of California versus John Parkman. Crime, section 1-8-7 of the penal code, murder in first. Transcript of the first six days of the trial. There are twenty of these people I hope we can get thru them all.
