Isla Fisher was born to Scottish parents on February 3, 1976 in Muscat Oman. She grew up in Perth, Western Australia with her parents and four brothers. At an early age, she was already into acting and writing. When she was nine, she appeared in several Australian TV commercials.

As a teen, she played small roles in the TV dramas Bay Cove and Paradise Beach. At the same time, she worked on her writing and published two best-selling teen-themed novels, Seduced by Fame and Bewitched. She is also known for portraying Shannon Reed in the popular soap Home and Away. After her stint on Australian television, Isla moved to Britain to further her craft.

She became linked to British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat) and the couple made the move to Hollywood where Isla's career flourished with bigger roles in movies co-starring popular names in the industry. Her film credits include Scooby-Doo (2002), Wedding Crashers (2005), The Lookout (2007), and Hot Rod (2007). In 2008, she was involved in projects like Horton Hears a Who!, Definitely, Maybe, Confessions of a Shopaholic, and Groupies. I have only ever seen Isla Fisher in Weddish Crashers and now that I realise it, Scooby Doo. According to my memmory she wedded Sasha Barron Cohen in the last year or so. She is a great acrtress, incredibly funny so it would be nice to see her in alot more.

Loved her in "Wedding Crashers" as Gloria, they nymphomaniac. Also, very good in "Scooby Doo."

You know I just watched her in Wedding Crashers as the crazy kooky Gloria and I gotta say that even though her character isn't really the main plot point of the film she was still pretty funny. I mean she really went balls to the wall with her character, she really laid on the crazy uber-thick which is actually kind of impressive seeing as she had to hold her own against Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson who both have really hefty experience. She's quite the impressive young lady, too. But I really do think she does well in comedies, she's not afraid to be crazy and just go with the general flow of it all. Pretty girl, too. I like her.

I am a big fan of yours. I have watched and taped every episode with you as Shannon Reed in Home and Away from 1994-1997.

I am living in a residential house because I have Aspergers Syndrome, which means I get stuck on magpies, I have been watching Home and Away with family and friends.
