Jackie Chan is now a cartoon character in his very own television series, battling to obtain the 12 magic talismans, each containing its very own power. He and his Uncle get a visit from Jackie's niece - Jade - and that's when Jackie finds out about Section 13 and the magic talismans which the Dark Hand are trying to retrieve to free the trapped Dragon, Shendu, from his prison of stone, so he will give them the lost treasure of Shen Che Hun. Jackie Chan defeated the Dark Hand almost every time, so Shendu had to use his own allies - The Shadowkhan - to help them destroy Jackie Chan. All the talismans that were found were placed in high security in Section 13. While Jackie continued to obtain each and every talisman, the Dark Hand also tried to figure out where Section 13 was located to steal the talismans and continue searching for the remaining stones. Soon, all of the talismans were collected and Shendu was freed from his stone form. Now, he was able to roam the Earth and destroy all of Asia, but Jackie Chan, with Uncle and Jade, stopped him and Jade destroyed him.

In the second season, Shendu's spirit is told by his brothers and sisters that he should've released them when he was in the real world and they put a spell on him to possess a person to get the Pan Ku box and remain in that person's body until all of the 7 demon sorcerers are released (he wants to possess Jackie). If he fails, the torment on Shendu will begin. After taking over Valmont's body mistakenly, he must free the other demons to reign chaos on the planet. He then possessed the Pan Ku Box which can release his fellow demons at different rendezvous points and bring chaos upon the Earth and to destroy Jackie Chan. Jackie continues to search for the Pan Ku box and retrieve it before the Dark Hand actually sends a demon he cannot defeat with Uncle, Jade, and Tohru. After this is over, Jackie goes through many different adventures until towards the end of the season, we are introduced to a Dark Chi Wizard named Daolon Wong. At the end of the season, Daolon Wong takes a interest towards the Talismans, hoping to absorb their powers and make himself invincible.

In the third season, just as Jackie is ready to retire from Section 13, Daolon Wong and the Dark Hand break into Section 13, trying to steal the talismans. But Jackie blows up the talismans, and Uncle imprisons Daolon Wong's original Dark Chi Warriors. So they must now save the talisman-powered animals from Daolon Wong and his newly Dark Chi warriorized servants: Finn, Ratso, and Chow with Hak Foo coming later. Even at the time, Daolon Wong resurrected Shendu to get the power of combustion. After Shendu was reverted back to a statue and Daolon Wong (who was stripped from most of his magic) and the enforcers (who have been returned to their true forms) have been arrested, the talismans popped out of Shendu during the defeat.

In the fourth season, Jackie must stop Tarakudo the Shadowkhan King and the enforcers from collecting the 9 Omni masks (which used to be his generals) of power that will allow him to control the Shadowkhan.

In the fifth season, Jackie must stop Drago from absorbing the chi of his aunts and uncles, the Demon Sorcerers, from the original items that were used by the 8 Immortals to banish them to the Demon Netherworld.

Jackie Chan Adventures was nominated for three awards at the Emmy Awards for 2001 and 2002. The series was nominated for the 2001 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing - Special Class, received by Robert Duran (supervising sound editor), and Roshaun Hawley (dialogue editor/adr editor). Nominated for the 2002 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing - Special Class, received by the same crew members as last year, and for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing - Special Class. Fil Brown (re-recording mixer), Dan Cubert (re-recording mixer), Melissa Gentry-Ellis (re-recording mixer) accepted the award while Jackie Chan obtained the 2002 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program.

  Alright. On this thread, we will all share our summaries of our imaginative first episode of a sixth season. Here's mine: Episode 1: Growth Spurt The episode starts off with Jade much older. She's a between of kid Jade and Adult Jade. She is now 16-years-old. Finn, Ratso, Chow, and Hak Foo all now work at Uncle's Antiques, and live nearby. Even Valmont was able to join. All five Dark Hand members are now even more powerful fighters, after training with Jackie. Meanwhile, at the Demon Netherworld, Shendu is being tortured by the other demons (including Drago), as part of his eternal punishment. Shendu tells the others to stop, and that he has a new plan. Bai Tsa demands to know what it is, but sounds doubtful. Shendu answers, The Book of Ages. Tchang Zu blasts Shendu with lightning, telling him that that plan already failed. Shendu tells the demons that he knows what he did wrong. He allowed Jade to tear off a piece of the book. Shendu explains he will not let that happen again. Po Kong mentions it couldn't hurt to try again. However, Xiao Fung says that Shendu cannot escape the netherworld, due to not being a spirit anymore. Thus, cannot take control of another being. Shendu focuses his energy, and the twelve talismans, pop out of his hands. Shendu then reverts back into a statue. The other eight demons gather up his talismans, and ask him what he's doing. Shendu tells them that without his talismans, he will be able to die easier. Shendu orders the others to kill. At first surprised and hesitant, eventually the demons agreed. Shendu is destroyed, and his spirit wanders off. Shendu searches around for a host, when suddenly, another spirit appears before him! This man is pulsing with dark chi. shendu demands to know who he is. Without answering, the spirit raises his hand. Suddenly, Shendu loses control over himself! Next, the spirit directs Shendu into Jackie's body! Angry at what just happened, Shendu (in Jackie's body), runs off for Austrilia. Jade, who was in school, is learning how to do calligraphy in Art class. Suddenly, Mrs. Hartman comes running into the class, telling Jade she must go home, saying it's an emergency. Jade does exactly as she is told, and packs up her brush, ink, etc. Apparently, Uncle had called the school. Uncle tells Jade what had happened. After that, Jade, Uncle, Tohru, Capt. Black, Finn, Ratso, Chow, Hak Foo, and Valmont all travel to Austrilia. The new J-Team find Shendu attempting to use the Book of Ages again. Luckily, Jade still had her paint brush. Both Jade and Shendu fight over the book. Both trying to shove each other away, trying to write new stuff, trying to cross things out, etc. Unknown to what was written in the book, the book starts to glow white. The book then releases a huge flash of energy, with everyone being consumed into the light. What has happened to all of the characters? To be continued in episode 2.less «

  All of us have had a question on our minds ever since Drago's first appearance: Who is Drago's mother? At this thread, you can present your theory on how Drago was born, whether he had a human mom or born from Shendu's chi. Here's my theory to show as an example. I believe Drago was born sometime during when Shendu rewrote the Book of Ages. After Shendu rewrote the past, he found himself in a time when Jackie was still a child. To make sure there were no humans to rebel against him. he changed into a human form and went through his domain. He meets a lovely young woman named May-lin and falls for her. They would see each other in secret while Shendu is in human form. He knew that if Tchungzu or the rest of his family found out that he's in love with a human, they would destroy May-Lin and him. Only Tso Lan knew and understood. He married Shendu and May-Lin in secret. A few months later, May-Lin told Shendu that he was about to become a father. Shendu knew that he had to reveal himself because when their first child is born, it may have dragon features. Shendu showed her dragon form to May-Lin and told her the truth about the Book of Ages. May-Lin, instead of resenting him, actually understood because it was the Book of Ages that brought them together. Nine months later, Drago was born. less «

  This is not a bad show (despite the constant one-off shows.)I am glad that this show was able to end itself in dignity as a series finale. (The Powers That Be) hide « show »

  There's not too many shows that receive Emmy Awards, but luckily Jackie Chan Adventures is one of those legendary cartoons. Some cartoons are too seirous (which I don't mind..) but most of them are kiddy...too kiddy. Jackie Chan Adventures is seirous but at the same time kiddy but funny. Most cartoons that are based on celebrities turn out to be very terrible. Does anyone remember "Mary Kate and Ashley as secret spies on ABC Saturday Mornings?" Even the Jo Bros got their show on Disney and it sucks.. (I have nothing against the Jo Bros except for the fact they're complete sell-outs...) However, Jackie Chan Adventures manages to break the boundaries of celebrity shows. Jackie Chan Adventures is about Jackie Chan, who's not a celebrity but an expert archelogist who would prefer to quietly do his work for the local university, but fate has dealt another hand. That happens when he finds a shield containing a talisman is but the first of a dozen pursued by a criminal organization called The Dark Hand led a man called Valmont and guided by a spirit called Shendu. Against this Jackie, his niece Jade, and their uncle must cooperate with the secret law enforcement organization, Section 13, to oppose this threat. Along the way, our heroes must face wild dangers that will demand all of Jackie's skill in martial arts and his daring to overcome.
  
  The writers/producers of this series deserve a lot of credit. Somehow they've created an edgy, often wickedly funny animated series that conveys a healthy family in which everyone has importance; old people are still valued (Uncle rules!), girls are smart, cute, and kick butt (Jade IS all that), and the family can include close friends (Toru and his mom). The story lines are interesting and unusual. Even though the show ended in a finale (which most people need to get through their heads eventually but I miss it, too.), The same people who made Jackie Chan Adventures also made Men in Black and The Batman, so be sure to check out those shows good. Even though the first, fourth, and fifth seasons are my favorites, I will always miss JCA.

  This show was one of the better ones that they played on jetix but it was not a long running one i mean each season only had about 15 episodes unlike something like dragonball z where it had about 26 episodes but although the lack of episodes per season brought the show down it was still a very good show while it lasted i mean come on jackie chan as a cartoon chartecter beating on these weird other things that like to disapear and all this just to look for some talismens i mean i little bit of effort is needed for that but all in all this show was a really good one by my opinion

  This show is a Jackie Chan fighting evil and demons. I think this is one of the most underrated show I have ever seen. Personally I think think this show was better than Yu-Gi-OH. The problem with this show was that each season contained around 10-15 episodes (expect season 2 I don't why) while other show had 20-25 per season. So really they had only 95 episodes for a really good show. It weird for a show that wasn't well known and yet it had a good run. I don't know why they ended, but this was one of the best cartoon ever in my opionon.

  Jackie Chan Adventures (JCA) is basically Jackie Chan made into a cartoon, with added magic and mystique thrown in. Basically, Jackie and his neice Jade, and his Uncle, Uncle, go around the world searching for the 12 mystical talismans of Shendu, (7 demon's chi in Season 2 & 5, 9 Masks in Season 4) each with its own power. They evantually collect them all, but they apparently have an element of fail around them as the various villians always get them in the end. Overall, JCA is the show almost equal in proportions to Avatar. (That's Avatar: The Last Airbender. [ATLA]) The villians include: Finn, Chow, Ratso, (Season 1-5, though the only the first episode in Season 5.)
  Hak Foo, (Season 2-4) collectively known as "The Enforcers", and Tohru, (Season 1).
  It also includes: Valmont (Season 1,2), Shendu (1-3, 5), Daolan Wong (Minor in Season 2,4 and Major in Season 3), Tarakudo (Season 4), and Draco (Season 5). The heroes known of the J-Team, in the Season Finale, usually after appearing earlier in the season save the world once more. So, if action and enthralling plots are what you desire, JCA is the show you have (Actually HAD" been waiting for.

  One of the only other shows I used to watch when I was a kid... hide « show »

  Don't get me wrong, I stopped watching it like in 2003, (I regret not finishing it) But I really liked it because it was that, action adventure butt kicking tv show that made you laugh. Sure, it was for small kids, which should have been fixed, but whatever.
  I think I have this familiar likeness in myself to root for the "Uncles" in Tv shows. In this show, my favorite character IS Uncle, the sensei. He is just really cool. His accent was funny and he was smart too. Uncle Iroh is the same way. When Avatar came out, I didn't know a lot about it. I didn't come to appreciate it until earth. I found uncle to be my favorite character, all along.
  so yeah, I really liked this show because of uncle. And I think it shares a common, but less artistic style similar to Avatar.
