Jade Goody found fame when she was 21 after appearing in Channel 4's reality show Big Brother. When she first appeared on Big Brother in 2002 Jade claimed her specialist subject on Mastermind would be shoes and bags and she admitted that she loved rum and shopping.

Jade came 4th in Big Brother 3 but soon shot to fame with her loud-mouth antics and Jade-isms. An example of which, being that she thought the British city of Cambridge could be found in London.

Having attracted hoards of media attention Jade soon had her own shows that followed her in her day-to-day life as she started businesses, hunted for a PA and launched her own brand of perfume called "Shhh... Jade Goody".

Jade returned to Big Brother as a celebrity in 2007 with her family and boyfriend Jack Tweed joining her in the house. During her time on the reality show this time she became involved in what was dubbed as a "race-war" with Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. The two stars are now friends again and Jade has apologised for her actions.

On August 19, 2008, while appearing on an Indian version of Big Brother, Jade was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She immediately left the show to return to her family in the UK.

Since then, Jade has married he boyfriend Jack Tweed and vows to give the money she earns from the publicity of her cancer battle to her two children Bobby and Jack.

Where did Big Brother go wrong?
