The city of Alameda, California does have the USS Hornet (CV-12) as a museum, rest assured, the fire didn't turn her into scrap metal!!!
The ship served the USA from November 29, 1943 until May 26, 1970. To learn all about it & how you can visit it, go to: http://www.uss-hornet.org (edit)
Rex Linn returns to JAG, having previously served as the skipper in the season 1 episode, "Shadow". (edit)

Harm: I slept the first day, but after that, the nurse threatened to tie me down if I so much as stuck my nose out the door.
Mac: Kinky.
Harm: Yellow light, Major.
Mac: Oh come on, Harm, haven't we reached the point where we can drop the traffic signals?
Harm: Absolutely. Have I ever told you why a female Marine is like the Energizer Bunny?
Mac: On second thought, let's not. (edit)
Harm: I'll find him, Mac. I'll find him and the list if it takes the rest of my life. (edit)
(Discussing Harm's father)
Mac: You're hoping he's still alive.
Harm: Chances are ten million to one against it.
Mac: Well, still, someone always wins the lottery, don't they? (edit)
Harm: This is the Navy, we still have Popeye's enlistment papers somewhere! (edit)

Trivia

add »
Harm is listening to a tape of his father that mentions Tom Boone. Mac asks if he's the same Tom Boone who is the CAG on the Seahawk. Harm says yes, Boone was his dad's wingman. He already told Mac this during the "Crossing The Line" episode, but she acts like it's new information. (edit)
This episode lays the groundwork for Harm to learn that his father was transferred to Russia for the later episode "People vs. Rabb" & the season ending cliffhanger. (edit)

Allusions

add »
Harm: Hey, this is the Navy, Doc. We have Popeye's enlistment papers on record somewhere. Big question is where.

The cartoon character Popeye enlisted in the U.S. Navy in the 1941 animated short "The Mighty Navy." (edit)
Bud: Yours is not to reason why -- yours is but ... to do research.

Bud quotes a modified version of a line from Tennyson's poem, "The Charge of the Light Brigade":
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do & die.
