In 2007 Jason filmed a movie with Will Smith and Charlize Theron called Hancock. The movie will reunite Bateman with Theron, who guest starred on his show Arrested Development.
(edit)
In 2006 Jason did a commentary on the 2004 Democratic National Convention for 'The Majority Report' with his former Arrested Development co-star David Cross.
(edit)
Jason and his wife, Amanda Anka, had a baby daughter, Francesca Nora Bateman, on October 28, 2006.
(edit)
Jason has been named one of People magazine's 'Sexiest Boy to Man'.
(edit)
Jason's father, Kent Bateman is a director, producer and an actor.
(edit)
Jason Bateman: (in January 2008 about his resolutions) I don't have anything to fix! I don't smoke, I don't drink, and I don't eat carbs. My life is just great now. Normal. Vanilla.
(edit)
Jason Bateman: (about being on "The Hogan Family" as a child) I never looked at fan mail, for some reason. My mother and grandmother handled my mail--although it's not like I was ever in the stratosphere of Kirk Cameron or Scott Baio.
(edit)
Jason Bateman: (about his "rebellious" younger days) I was just a lot smarter about not getting caught. I mean, I never stuck anything in my arm, but I certainly enjoyed my youth.
(edit)
Jason Bateman: (about his baby daughter Francesca) I became an adult before I had a kid, which I highly recommend. I just like to throw her around. She's a really good snuggler, and she likes to give kisses and hugs. And her neck smells fantastic! You just want to ball her up and stuff her in your pocket. I'm gonna do all that until she gets too big and doesn't want to kiss her dad anymore.
(edit)
Jason Bateman (on how similar he is to his character on Arrested Development): I am most like my character in that I have a low tolerance for stupidity and power trips. I am least like my character in the sense that I'm the least conservative guy I know.

"One of the all-time greats"Perfect Jason Bateman has been so many great characters and has kept us entertained ever since the early 1980's. Especially as Derek on Silver Spoons. Also as David Hogan on The Hogan Family, what a young, fresh, sexy, gorgeous, talented actor. Love you, Reed!! Continue » Posted Jun 9, 2007 10:26 am PST |
