Jeff Phillips: Biography

In 1991 Jeff Phillips originated the role of "Hart Jessup" on the long running CBS soap opera Guiding Light.

Phillips began his acting career in 1989 on the now defunct soap opera Another World, where he was both a day player and a series regular.

Although he has yet to regain the star status he had while playing "Hart", Jeff continues to appear in a wide variety of television series and movies.

Jeff says one of his best qualities is that he is about to rationalize and think clearly. He also "doesn't leave room for indecision in his life."(edit)

Jeff: (on becoming an actor) I wanted to know if it was possible to make a living at this, and I decided it was basically impossible. I had one of two options: move to L.A. or go back to New York. I figured New York was the best place to learn how to be an actor. If I wanted to do it right, I felt this is where I had to be.(edit)
