Hey Everyone,
Couple things I want to go over that are necessary before you submit to the guide.
Recaps/Episode summaries
If there are recaps to the episodes and you plan on changing/altering anything in the recap/summaries, please contact me first before you make the submissions. They will be automatically rejected. If you have suggestions on what word[s] that can be changed because you have a better word[s] for them or you have suggestion on how something should be rearranged. Contact me because then we can discuss it.
I've worked very hard to put these recaps together and many long hours of re-watching these episodes to get them to be almost perfect to the episode.
Granted that isn't going to happen, if you find words that are misspelled, you can make those corrections.I do check the dictionary to make sure that what you are submitting actually correct. I'm not going to take your word for it.
If I have to make more than 2 corrections to something, I will automatically reject it and then you can resubmit it again if it already hasn't been corrected.Punctuations areanother thing. Everyone takesa line and interprets it different ways.Make sure that you explain what you are talking about. When in doubt, contact me and I'll go over the episode to see what you are talkingabout.
Trivia & Notes
Please make sure that you follow the way that I've set things up. Do not deviate from that that. Please make sure that your html is correct.
Quotes
All show quotes must have the name of the speaker(s) bolded using HTML start and end tags. The name is then followed by a colon, which is not bolded. The dialogue itself should not have quotation marks around it. Action/context/background description should be in parentheses and italics before the person is speaking to set up the scene.
Here are a couple examples:
If you are doing quotes, do not put "quotes" in the actual quote. If it is after an event make sure that you italicize it like this example:
(As Shana works in her studio)
Ashley: I got a million ideas in my head, Shana. But I can't prove it. Would you teach me to draw clothes and models and stuff?
Shana: I can try. If your willing to work at it.
OR
Shana: (To gondola rower) Could you go a little faster. I want to hear.
Zipper: I could if I would, (Grabbing Shana's portfolio) but I won't.
Allusions: An allusion is an indirect or passing reference to an existing form of media, be it to another TV program, a movie, a piece of music, or a book. Allusions are prevalent in television shows and some shows like The Family Guy, make extensive use of this kind of humor. When submitting allusions, always credit the original media being referenced with as much detail as possible. Please do not use Wikipedia. I do check that site. That site is not very trustworthy. If you do some research you can find what it is that you are looking for.
