The Bands Break Up

Episode Number: 31    Season Num: 2    First Aired: Monday September 28, 1987    Prod Code: n/a
Both Kimber and Stormer quit their bands on the same day because they both feel unappreciated by their band mates. The two rivals accidentally meet at a club while drowning their sorrows in ice cream. The club manager recognizes them and asks them to sing on stage together. To their surprise, they sound great together and develop a huge following as they perform in clubs night after night. This doesn’t bode well for the Holograms or the Misfits since Kimber and Stormer – the primary song writers – have no interest in returning to their bands.

(As The Misfits leave)
Kimber: It was fun, Stormer.
Stormer: It was more than fun, Kimber. (Hugging) Oh, we learned a lot about each other.
Kimber: Yeah. And a little bit about life.
(edit)
(After Kimber & Stormer go double platinum)
Stormer: And even better, partner. We saved your music company.
Jerrica: You can be a part of our company, Stormer. How about joining the Holograms?
Pizzazz: Stormer. (The Misfits walk in) They don't really need you. Please, Stormer. Come back to the Misfits. We need you.
Roxy: Yeah, it's true.
Jetta: Come back, yank.
Stormer: It's true, Jerrica. You don't need me. (Looking at the Misfits) But they do.
Pizzazz: You mean it. You'll come back.
(The Misfits cheer)
Stormer: I will but you're gonna have to listen to me, also, from now on. I'm an equal partner, right.
(edit)
(At Starlight Mansion, Kimber & Stormer tell their story)
Stormer: And that's what happened. Can you help us?
(Grabbing a bottle out of the refrigerator)
Jerrica: Is that what you want, sis? (Kimber nods) I think you were right about somethings, Kimber. We did take you for granted. (Kissing Kimber's cheek) But we love you and always will. No matter what. Of course, I'll help.
Raya, Shana & Aja: (Together) We all will.
Jerrica: We'll package and promote your album.
Aja: We're so happy for you.
Raya: Congratulations
wait til Eric Raymond sees how we can make a hit.
(edit)
(In Eric Raymond's office)
Stormer: I almost let you lose part of Starlight Music because Pizzazz and the others gave me gifts. But then I realized you gave me something nobody else ever did. Sincere friendship. And that's worth more than anything the Misfits ever gave me.
(edit)
(In Eric Raymond's office)
Kimber: Alright, Eric. I hate to say this but you win. I can't finish the record without Stormer. I should have known. Once a Misfit. Always a Misfit.
Eric: At last. I own half of Starlight Music again. It's mine.
Stormer: (Interupting) Don't be so sure of that, Eric.
Kimber: (Surprised) Stormer
Stormer: I finished the harmoney. The record's done.
