- Mimi's watch, a Rolex, had stopped after the EMP, although it was not stated that it was the EMP itself that stopped the clock. Almost ALL Rolexes are selfwinding with hand-wound movement and have not electronic parts in them so there is no way that the EMP should affect a mechanical clock. She could of course have a copy of a rolex with a battery but it fells highly unlikely. edit »
- The EMP hit at 9:02, as evidenced by the wall clock, which apparently stopped at this hour. edit »
- Robert's claim that his computer was a "special" type given him by the government is untruthful. The only way that electronic circuit boards can be protected from the effects of an EMP is to shield with heavy layers of material that would absorb the radiation. This is the likely explanation of Robert's masonry work in laying a concrete block enclosure in his basement at the end of an earlier episode: he was creating a shielded place for his laptop. edit »
- On Hawkins' basement map, we get to see where he placed the last three pins he picked up in Episode #2: Kansas City, Minneapolis, and Detroit. No pins yet to identify the city in the Northern Rockies that showed on the Chinese satellite broadcast as being possibly Spokane or Boise. edit »
- Goof: When Eric, Dale and Jake are going to Mitchell's shelter and Dale tells them about the crashed train full of food, he finishes talking, but when the camera cuts to Eric's expression, you can see Dale talking, but there is no sound. In advance, his face expression changes during shots. Drastically. edit »

- Gail: If you'd have favored your father a little less and your dinky Uncle Dennis a little more, you'd have made a hell of a jockey. Talk to me. I'm tired of listening to my own voice. edit »
- Mimi: Oh my God, I wish I prayed! edit »
- Stanley (referring to the stolen pesticides): I can't believe this is what we've come to.
Mimi: We don't really have a choice, it's every man for himself now. edit » - Allison (in reference to Jake): Is he a good man or a bad man?
Robert: Baby, there is no such thing. edit » - Gail: You said you need to harvest today. We're here to help, no strings attached. edit »
- Episode title: 9:02
The title of this episode "9:02" is a probable reference to the Oklahoma City bombing. On April 19th, 1995, 9:02 a.m. CST, a bomb exploded in front of the 9-story Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building on the north side of downtown. 168 people were killed.
Itīs also the time in which the EMP hit on Jericho. All the clocks stopped at 9:02. edit »
