In late 1999 the BBC had an idea about a comedy act show what featured many comedians, singers and also a mime - artist. But in 1999 the BBC needed a comedian to present the Someone Presents show as he had auditioned Jim Davidson got the role as the host so the show was named, Jim Davidson Presents.
