British film director who joined the Bond series as second-unit director and editor on On Her Majesty's Secret Service. He filmed the famous ski/parachute jump in The Spy Who Loved Me teaser and has directed five Bond films, starring with For Your Eyes Only. After Glen worked for several years as supervising editor and a director on various TV series, director Peter Hunt invited him to become the editor and second-unit director on OHMSS. Having a solid background in action film editing and second-unit work, Glen still found it difficult to convince producer Cubby Broccoli in 1981. GlenMore eventually won the assignment and dellivered a terrific 007 adventure. Since then, he's fit the series like a well worn glove. Unfortunately Glen's directing expertise is only as good as the scripts he works from, and those have been inconsistent. As to the longevity of the series, he told film journalist Craig Modderno in 1989:"Bond has never been corrupted and has always been a citizen above suspicion doing the right thing. In times of mixed morality and abuse of power by many people we admire, it's nice to know James Bond is still around to show what heroes are all about!." Glen's 007 directing credits: For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, A Veiw to a Kill, The Living Daylights, Licence to Kill.
