John L. Adams stars as "Bruce Lewis" in the USA Network original series The Dead Zone.
After attending Winston-Salem University in North Carolina, Adams moved to Los Angeles, where he began his career as a stand-up comic. Adams as been seen performing at many of the industry’s most infamous comedy clubs, including L.A.’s The Improv, The Laugh Factory, and The Comedy Store, as well as at the Riviera Casino in Las Vegas. A natural with style and charisma on stage, it wasn’t long before Adams was being sought out as an up-and-coming character actor.
In 2001, former NBC programming executive Warren Littlefield secured Adams a development deal with NBC Studios, and he was cast as a series regular on the 13-episode pick-up of Just Deal. Adams has also had numerous guest-starring and recurring television roles, including on the Paramount/UPN series Girlfriends, the NBC/Chuck Lorre (Dharma & Greg) pilot Love Junkies, the WB’s The Parenthood, the hit USA Network original series Pacific Blue the CBS drama CSI, and a guest role on Fox's Arrested Development.
Adams has also appeared on stage in productions of The Wiz as "The Scarecrow" and in Trouble Man as "Tony". Viewers may also recognize his face from the AT&T commercial he appeared in with David Arquette.
In his spare time, Adams enjoys singing, dancing, cooking and playing sports.
