Episode Cast and Crew

View All
  • When the lobster from Claws! tricks Johnny into believing he has won the lottery, Johnny mentions he has never won anything before in his life. This is untrue however, as in the first season episode Over the Hump he won the "Find the Fort" competition together with Lawrence the Camel.

As a side note, the check for the fake lottery the lobster was holding refers to Johnny Bravo as "Johnny Q. Chump". []
  • During Claws!, Johnny mentions twice that he is planning on making a lobster dinner for his mother because it's Saint Swithun's Day. This means that the events from Claws! take place on July 15. []

Allusions

  • Johnny (to the lobster): What's that? Little Timmy fell in the well?

This line is an allusion to the old Lassie television series from 1954. It refers to the fact that an usually domesticated animal displays unusual intelligence or skill, usually in order to save one of the characters from danger. []

  • Around the World with 80 Babes
: During To Helga and Back, Johnny orders a girlfriend via air-mail thanks to a program called "Around the World with 80 Babes".

This title is a spoof on the famous Around the World in 80 Days novel, written by Jules Verne and first published in 1873. []
  • Claws: - Title

The title of this episode is a reference to the classic 1975 movie Jaws, directed by Steven Spielberg, about a large shark that is killing people in the ocean. []
