I had never heard of Jonathan Tucker until I watched the pilot of BD on NBC. Holy cow! He carries the whole show! I haven't been this excited about a new series since Alias debuted. I was counting days until episode 2! Tucker is perfect in the roll of Tommy. I've never identified so easily… More with a character that has committed such graphic crimes. I hope this series makes it, because I cannot get enough of Tucker! Even if it doesn't make it, I'll be watching for him from now on!:D

The Black Donnellys stars chat about their characters.
just picked up "The Black Donnelly's" on DVD, 12 hours ago and have 2 episodes til' the end. I am absolutely hooked! HOOKED! I too am Catholic Irish and my family is from Brookline. My grandfather was a police officer in southie for years. I have a strong connection to this show, I can't believe NBC didn't sign on or air the last 7 episodes. HBO should have picked it up! There hasn't been another show that's kept me in front of my television for 12 hrs. After seeing this series, Ic exactly how remarkable of an actor tucker is.......
Give him the show back! I loved this show! I want it to return. Jonathan's delivery of Tommy Donnelly was complex, emotional, dark but sweet! I am lost w/o the show. I want to know what happens! His dedication is remarkable and his embodiment of this role is excellent!
Jonathan Tucker becomes a character so thoroughly that when I saw him in "The Black Donnellys" I didn't know who he was until almost the end, yet I had noticed him in "The Masters of Horror" episode "Dance of the dead" and had wondered who he was then. I rarely notice an actor and have never gotten on a forum to talk about one prior to Tucker. This man commands attention. When you're watching him he owns you like it or not. There is a lot of talk about his beautiful body, Which does look like a sculpture, but the real beauty is in his expressiveness. His eyes and whole face speak to you. You feel a connection and as a result you become sympathetic to his character.
He is new yes but Jonathan Tucker is a master already. He makes any film worth watching and I can't wait to see more of him.
The Donnelly's is the best show on tv, everyone of these actors, act well, the direction, where it is being filmed looks so authentic show. I hope people appreciate this show. I am so impressed. The only thing I fear is regular tv ready for this show; otherwise don't even wait a week, put it on HBO.
You are literally on pins and needles, you just don't know what is going to happen next. They really act like brothers. I havae to confess, though, I am totally in love with Jonathan Moss Tucker. Is he from the eastcoast? Thanks so much.
Lot of credits for a newcomer. His work in the movie and theater really helped him to become what he is right now. His next tv series, "the black Donnelley" will probably his biggest test yet.
