Josh has been nominated for 5 Screen Actor's Guild Awards. Four were for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for his role in The West Wing (2003,2004,2005,2006). One was for the same category, except comedy series for his work on Sports Night (2000).
(edit) Some of Josh's political/charity causes include: Bet Tzedek (an organization to provide legal counsel to the poor of LA), Birthright Israel, and the New Israel fund. (edit) In 1996, Josh guest starred on Sliders with Sabrina Lloyd. Several years later the two would reunite as a couple on a SportsNight. (edit) Josh and actor Rob Lowe shared several scenes on The West Wing before Josh permanently replaced Rob's character. Rob and Josh also worked together on 2003's A View From The Top, a Gwyneth Paltrow comedy. (edit) Joshua Malina once saved Aaron Sorkin's life. After a bowling party, Aaron was choking on a hamburger, and Josh performed the Heimlich maneuver to save him. (edit)

Josh: Sports is a very small part of my life. I can watch any specific sport and enjoy it, but I don't particularly care who wins.
(edit)
Josh: There is a concept in Judaism, that the world is not perfect and it's up to people to make it better. If somebody is hungry you have to feed them. If somebody is poor you've got to help out.
(edit)
Josh: A Jew is what I am. An actor is what I do.

Josh: (On Celebrity Poker Showdown) Our first season we had a high percentage of my own poker buddies on the show. When we pitched the show we had to guarantee that some familiar faces would show up to get viewers to tune in, so a lot of my friends helped me out. David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, Hank Azaria, cast members from The West Wing.

Joshua: (On The Mighty Sorkin Players) There’s sort of an informal group of us that I think of as the Mighty Sorkin Players. I think what he sees in us as a crew are actors that are able to speak his dialogue in a natural way, in the rhythms that he hears in his head. He’ll tell you he has a very musical approach to writing. There are very specific cadences and rhythms. Some people naturally get it, some don’t. He likes to work with people, first of all, that he gets along with… I think that reflects nicely on him. He likes to be around his friends. He likes to employ them. And he likes to work with actors who can sort of make the dialogue come alive, the way he envisioned it.
