  • Journeyman Cancelled !!!!!!

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20071212/tv_nm/journeyman_dc LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - The journey is coming to an end for NBC's freshman series "Journeyman." NBC had until Tuesday to give a full-season pickup to the time-travel drama starring Kevin McKidd. The network let that optionMore lapse, practically canceling the series, which posted its lowest adults 18-49 rating (1.7 rating/8 share) on Monday without a "Heroes" lead-in. The network already tried out fellow rookie "Life" in "Journeyman"'s Monday 10 p.m. slot last week. Despite the Hollywood writers strike, "Journeyman" was able to complete its 13-episode order. The remaining two original segments will air as scheduled, an NBC spokeswoman said. NBC recently handed out full-season pickups to two of its four rookie scripted series, "Life" and "Chuck." Since the production of most scripted series has been suspended because of the strike, such orders are considered a vote of confidence to the shows and a potential renewal for next season if the additional episodes can't be produced by the end of this season. In limbo is the fate of the fourth new NBC series, the once-promising "Bionic Woman," which has been sliding in the ratings since its premiere. Reuters/Hollywood Reporter

  • TIME TRAVEL BACKWARDS ONLY? I SAY NO: Have your say?

So, Einstein believed time travel forward would not be possible. I can only assume because tomorrow has not arrived for us yet. Sounds a sensible & natural assumption. But, if time travel ever becomes possible or on a more positive line, when time travel becomes possible, most thoughts will beMore to return in time, for what ever reason. Be it to witness, change, or merely to relive a moment in your own history. Then, one would go back, return to a time which in all tense and purposes for everyone else would be their `present` their `now`, from our `future`. Which we are assuming does not exist, because tomorrow has not arrived for us yet. So to me the answer is simple, if time travel ever became possible then surly time travel back & forward would have to be possible. If not no-one could return from a trip. I have collected more than 90 time travel films & series. I enjoy the different ideas but forward by writers & directors on the theory of the time travel scenario. My top 10 films are, not in any particular order . •1. The Final Countdown •2. Philidelphia Experiment •3. Frequency •4. Millennium •5. Back To The Future Collection •6. Time After Time •7. Premonition •8. The Lake House •9. Running Against Time •10. Time Trackers My top 3 series ; •1. Primeval •2. Journeyman •3. Crime Travellers Till next time! Top-Per4mer the Time-tra4ler.

    8.5 Great

Living in Japan is nice because they like a lot of the US shows but what suck so bad is by the time see or love a show it is ended almost 2 years with with no true ending hide show

And you are not told nor is a no reason to why. Till you come here to read it was canned.I loved this show but it sucks to know that it was sold to Japan and no true ending nor are they told why. They end it wait 6 to 8 months and re-run and the Japanese think that all US show have no ending so they feel that most US show suck. I wish they could give us some kind of ending. Oh well life just suck when you fall for a show that will never finish.

What made it "special". hide show

Journeyman has been compared a number of times to Quantum leap, and I believe that's solely because of the time travel concept. Other than that, it was nothing like that other show. Sure, he "leaps" through time trying to fix something, but he never possessed a character and he always managed to get home. With any "time travel" show there is going to be the idea that you can rectify past mistakes because that's what we all want to do. I appreciated how you knew where -in what time- Dan had been placed because of the music they played. It was just a great show and I watch what I can of it on hulu.com.

    Bring it back! hide show

Getting canceled has become the mark of a good show. There was nothing especially original about Journeyman. It was (as others have observed) a lot like Quantum Leap. But who cares if it's been done before? It doesn't have to be break new ground to be a good show; it just has to be done right, and Journeyman was done right. There was an interesting dynamic among the regular cast of characters and Dan's travels were always exciting and emotionally rewarding. In the space of a single truncated season this show came to feel like an old friend and I was bitterly disappointed when I found out it had been canceled.

    Boring show. hide show

There was a reason this show was let go. It's because nobody cared for a plot and base that has been used before. The acting was stale, the storylines were for predictable, and the action was average. I never watched a full episode because it was so boring. I honestly tried, but I thought that it just wouldn't cut it. If there was one good thing, it had to be the fact that I saw some people who looked familiar. Overall, this was not a good show and I wish it would have never been made because it was done wrong. Thank you.

This show was the new Quantum Leap! hide show

I was loving this show and I was hoping for it to stick around…
This show was the new Quantum Leap! NBC, WHY? Why did NBC have to get rid of such a great show I mean I understand that the show did hovered around the whole writer strike during the end of the season but come on NBC didn't have to get rid of it because the writers were gone… Damn, just some bad timing. They were going to come out with a second season too! I stopped watching Heroes after they cancelled Journey Man… Maybe someday the Scifi Channel will play the one and only season, their good with those things!!!
