From 1995-2000, Julianna was nominated for an Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of nurse Carol Hathaway on ER . She won the award in 1995. (edit) Julianna has been nominated for 8 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards for her work on ER. In 1996, 1998 and 1999 she was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series. She won in both 1998 and 1999. From 1997-2001 she, along with the rest of the main cast, was nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. ER won the award in 1997, 1998 and 1999. (edit) In May 2007, Julianna was chosen as one of People Magazine's annual 100 Most Beautiful People in the World, Beauty at Every Age section, for age 40. (edit) While starring on ER, Julianna appeared in four of NBC's "The More You Know" public service announcements. Her topics were designated drivers, substance abuse, domestic violence, and sexually transmitted diseases.
