Julie was nominated, along with her Boston Legal castmates, for the 2007 and 2008 Screen Actors Guild Award in the category of Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. Julie and her Boston Legal castmates were also nominated for a 2006 SAG Award but in the category of Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. (edit) When she was pregnant with her son Oliver, her water broke while on the set of Boston Legal as she was pretending to be in labor. (edit) In the past, Julie has appeared as a spokesperson for Neutrogena in the company's television commercials. (edit) Julie Bowen gave birth to her first child on April 10, 2007. Julie and her husband, Scott Phillips, named their son Oliver McLanahan Phillips. Oliver weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces at birth and measured 19 inches in length. Both the mother and baby were reported doing well as of April 11th. (edit) While starring in Ed, Julie appeared in four of NBC's The More You Know public service announcements.
