Quotes

add »
Flash: I trust you guys and all, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to....
Batman: Wally West, Clark Kent. (removes cowl) Bruce Wayne.
Flash: Show off. (edit)
Hawkgirl: Aren't you going to turn your back on me too?
Green Lantern: Last time I let my guard down, you sucker-punched me.
Hawkgirl: It wasn't personal.
Green Lantern: Keep telling yourself that. (edit)
Flash: Hey, that's a giant dinosaur!
Alfred: And I thought Batman was the detective. (edit)
Flash: So, Jeeves, do you come with the place or does Master Bruce rent you just for parties?
Alfred: I've been in service here since the master was in diapers.
Flash: Now there's a picture. (edit)
Hawk Sentry: No more questions - go away immediately!
Clark Kent: Can I quote you? (edit)

Trivia

add »
During the scene in the Batcave, the background is the one used on Batman Beyond, not the Batman revamp episodes. You can clearly see Terry McGinnis's suit right next to the Nightwing one. (edit)
Trivia: We find out here that Gotham City (or at least its outskirts) are 30 miles from Metropolis. (edit)
Why don't the Thanagarians have a curfew? That's a standard part of "martial law," but when the League makes its way out of Metropolis, it's clearly evening and there are plenty of civilians on the streets. (edit)
How does Hawkgirl know where the Batcave is? She's never been there before, and there's no indication she knows the secret ID of Batman (or Flash or Superman). Presumably she found out all of this while researching the League for five years, but it's never really explained. (edit)
Where are the rest of Earth's heroes? Even if we assume the big roster of heroes that will be appearing in the third season all appeared simultaneously overnight after this episode, what about Dr. Fate? Inza? Aquaman? Metamorpho? the Demon? Lex Luthor and his battlesuit now that he has a pardon? Supergirl? Batgirl? Robin? Did none of them have any interest in defending Earth? And why wouldn't Hawkgirl have helped the Thanagarians capture them? She fought side-by-side with Dr. Fate and Aquaman (in The Terror Beyond) - wouldn't she have directed the Thanagarians to Atlantis or Dr. Fate's Salem tower? (edit)

Flash: (to Alfred) So, Jeeves, do you come with the place or does Master Bruce rent you just for parties?
Reginald Jeeves was one of the protagonists of a series of humorous stories and novels by P. G. Wodehouse. Together with Bertie Wooster they formed one of the most famous comic duos in modern English literature. Wooster was a rich dimwit and Jeeves was his loyal butler. In 1990, ITV aired Jeeves and Wooster for three years, in which Jeeves was played by Stephen Fry. Andrew Lloyd Weber also wrote a musical on the characters - originally Jeeves and later rewritten as By Jeeves. (edit)
