Karina Lombard is the daughter of Nupree Lightfoot, a Lakota Sioux Indian medicine woman, and Henry Lombard, the Swiss-Russian heir to a Geneva banking dynasty. She was born in beautiful Tahiti and would later move about the world with her father. While growing up Karina attended private boarding schools and lived throughout Europe, learning many languages along the way.

Into young adult hood Karina relocated to New York, and started a career in modeling with the assistance of photographer Bruce Weber. Her training at the Strasberg Institute and the Actors Studio was the key in preparing Karina for several stage performances.

Karina has been on the big screen, but her roles have been small but memorable. However on the small screen Karina has taken viewers by storm with her acting in a Showtime Original Series. And now the USA Network is graced with her presence on the hit original series The 4400. Karina Lombard is a great actress. I know her best for her role in "The 4400" as well as Marina Ferrer in the Showtime drama series The L word". I must say, I would have never pictured her playing the Lesbian role. I am used to her playing the top notch sophisticated roles. Her role was a definite shock but she played it well. I wasn't to happy with the relationship she had with Jenny. Or maybe it was because I just didn't like Jenny very well. As far as "The 4400" I thought she did a superb job. Her accent is very intriguing. I've never heard of one like it.

She and Jenny had sometinhg special and it would be good to see them try to build a relationship from where they abruptedly stopped in 1st season

It would be very nice to see her back to the L word as a permanent part of the cast.
She a Jenny had a special connection and they should be together as a couple

Marina was pressured by Francesca and now she is free to do what she really wants be with someone like jenny
It would be really nice to see them try to reconstruct a life together

I came across Karina in 'The L Word' recently and was instantly drawn to her. There's just something about her that is awesome, I don't know exactly what it is, but she sure does have it. She has such a charismatic presence on screen (and I'm sure off) and I love her cultural background and diversity. It's great to see her in such an excellent role. I hope that she gets the chance (and takes it) to become better known, as she truly deserves more recognition for the work she does. Such a diverse and talented person, Karina is fast becoming a fave of mine. I think she's fantastic!
