Katee received her first fan letter at the age of 17. The letter was sent from a prison and regarded a family show on FOX. (edit) When Katee picked up a pug puppy in a pet store to play with it she discovered that the puppy had been sitting on a picture of her face. Katee adopted the puppy and named her "Nelly B" after the character she played in The Education of Max Bickford (2001) because this was the picture used in the newspaper article that the dog had been sitting on. (edit) Katee Sackhoff is featured alongside Michael Hogan in the "100 Stars We Love Right Now" article published in Entertainment Weekly (2007). (edit) The fake tattoo on Katee's arm in Battlestar Galactica is actually part of the Kara and Anders character's wedding band which is never fully explained on the show. (edit) Katee had to sign a non-disclosure agreement that prevented her from prematurely revealing the fate of Starbuck in the episodes "Maelstrom" and "Crossroads, Part 2" from Season 3 of Battlestar Galactica. Katee Sackhoff: I was addicted to the original Star Trek when I was growing up, because of my dad. We grew up in St. Helen, Oregon and we weren't allowed to watch a lot of TV. I don't think we even had more than three channels, so it was basically watch Dynasty with my mom, watch Star Trek with my dad, or watch the mating rituals of beavers on OPB [Oregon Public Broadcasting]. So my brother and I watched Star Trek (edit) Katee Sackhoff: I get some very nice fan letters. Someone actually sent one to my parents, with another letter inside for me. Kinda weird. (edit) Katee Sackhoff: (speaking about Dirk Benedict) If Dirk pitched up to work on the show I'd probably quit. I met him in Los Angeles and I thought we'd really hit it off. He was a great guy, he was very complimentary and very un-Hollywood. Then he turned around a month later and talked complete crap about the show and the actors on it. He wrote an article saying the network sold out and my character was more brash than his character. I felt like he'd stabbed me in the back. (edit) Katee Sackhoff (on working with Nathan Fillion on "White Noise 2"): It's pretty funny, because Nathan and I are just the biggest kidders, I don't know how we got anything done. We would just be making each other crack up, like during people's big dramatic death scenes, and we are just over there laughing in the corner. I had the best time ever. I honestly didn't want to leave that show, at all, and I wanted it to just keep going. I was like "Seriously, Battlestar is great and all, but I'll just stay with you guys.
