Keri had a child, River Russell Deary on June 9, 2007 in New York City. She and contractor Shane Deary, both 31, became engaged in 2006, and were married on February 14, 2007. (edit)
In light of Keri cutting her locks on Felicity, WB entertainment president Susanee Daniels playfully said "Nobody is cutting their hair again on our network". (edit)
After winning a Golden Globe for Best Actress, Drama Series, for Felicity, she reportedly asked for a sizable raise and walked off the set when the network refused. Russell was receiving an estimated $20,000-$30,000 per episode - the same pay as her non-leading co-stars. (edit)
She was named for her grandfather Kermit and spent most of her childhood relocating between Texas, Arizona, Colorado, and California because of her father's job. (edit)
During her summer 1999 hiatus from Felicity, she took a vacation to Ireland, revisiting the country where she made Mad About Mambo and took a camping trip to Yosemite, part of which was photographed for InStyle magazine. (edit)

Keri: (on how motherhood changed her) It changes everything, even the way you view movies. I was watching Finding Nemo and I burst into tears. I was like, "I hope he finds his parents. Ahh!" It's uncontrollable! (edit)
Keri: (about her 2007 film August Rush, in which she plays a parent who gives her child up for adoption) Watching it is so much more emotional now that I'm a mother. No one tells you that when you have a baby, you literally take a crazy pill, and from then on, anything that has to do with kids--even if it isn't even your kid--you burst into tears. I can't imagine having a kid and knowing that they're out there. I'm sort of glad I wasn't a mom yet when I was filming it. (edit)
Keri: I made a little bit of money on Felicity, but I was really the only one of my friends on the show who didn't buy a home and a really fancy car. I was able to move to New York, have an apartment, and not work for a year. I was a kid that year. I went out dancing. I didn't get to do any of that when I had to be at work at 5 in the morning. Now, as much as I don't regret my life, I value so much being at home for dinner with my family. (edit)
Keri: I want to be able to raise my kid. I was totally being a martyr about it at first, thinking I could totally do it on my own, which I did for a while. I've hired a babysitter before, but as for a full-time caregiver... for a control freak like me, it ain't gonna happen! (edit)
Keri: People still take it really personally. They come up to me at breakfast places like, 'When are you growing your hair back?' (edit)

"Talented"
What could I say? Keri Russell is a young and talented star that is just waiting for a bigger chance to become an even bigger celebrity. She did a wonderful job on "Felicity" and I have high hopes for her in the future.
