Zegers began his performing career at an early age, appearing in numerous commercials. He got his first film role at 7, playing the younger version of Michael J. Fox's character in "Life With Mikey." He went on to star in the successful "Air Bud" film franchise, and has since appeared in several feature films, including "Treasure Island" (1999), "Komodo" (1999), "Virginia's Run" (2002), "Dawn of the Dead" (2004, remake of the George Romero film), and "Transamerica" (2005). He completed filming the Elton John-produced feature "It's A Boy Girl Thing" in Nov 2005.
Zegers' TV work includes guest appearances in "The X-Files" (1995), "So Weird" (1999), "Smallville" (2003), and "House" (2004).. He was personally selected by TV producer Aaron Spelling for the short-lived series "Titans" (2000).
