Fox reveals when Jack Bauer will blast back into action.

Fox has announced the sixth-season premiere of 24 will occur on January 14 and 15, with the usual four-hour premiere over two nights. A trailer for the show will be available beginning October 24.

24 earned five Emmys this year, including Best Drama and Best Dramatic Actor for lead Kiefer Sutherland's portrayal of terrorist-fighting government agent Jack Bauer. The show scored series-high ratings for season five.

The cast for 24 has been growing for the sixth season, with an impressive roster of actors being added. James Cromwell, Peter MacNicol, and Kal Penn are just a few of the names who will appear in the next season.

Over the summer, show-runner Joel Surnow said some of the new season may take place in New York City.

Oh my God sixth season will be so great. I saw the trailer in youtube - awesome. God how I miss Jack Bauer. I can wait to see what's going to happen.

Seasons 1-5 were fantastic and mind-blowing. I know Season 6 will be nothing less than awesome.

I got 4 of my friends hooked on the show since I watched it. Needless to say, we ALL anticipate the sixth season of 24! So many plot developments!!

A rumor was started but not by the creators, and Joel Surnow DID NOT say any of the season would be in New York. He later refuted that claim. Please do your research.

I can't wait for this new season to start!!! I'm definitely looking foward to the trailer and season 6 prequel that will hopefully be on the season 5 DVD that comes out December 5th.
