(edit) In Japan, this episode was followed by a loose one-shot episode, "The Boy Who Carried A Guitar: Kikaider Vs. Inazuman," which was included exclusively in the KIKAIDER 01: THE ANIMATION box set. It was based on a story in the INAZUMAN manga in which Jiro/Kikaider guest-starred. Inazuman is another famous manga superhero created by Shotaro Ishinomori (and also had two tokusatsu TV series in 1973 and 74). (edit) If you look closely at the crowd scene near the end of the episode, you'll notice the detective Hanpei Hattori and his assistant from the TV anime (the first twelve episodes of the CN broadcast).
