In 1994, Kim was one of 14 Guiding Light stars to appear on a special set of phone cards called "The Soap Connection Collection." The cards allowed fans of the show to hear interviews and behind the scenes info provided by the character who appeared on the card.
(edit)
Kim has a "Bacon Number" of 2.
Kim was in Body Heat with J.A. Preston,
J.A. was in A Few Good Men with Kevin Bacon. (edit) Kim considers herself a "New York Fan" when it comes to football, but she says that she will always root for the Jets over the Giants. (edit) Kim's Guiding Light co-star, Robert Bogue, calls her "the Joan Baez of the soap world". (edit) Kim say's she wore her hair "funky" for the 1984-1985 Daytime Emmy Awards because she never thought she would win. It was her first Emmy for playing Guiding Light's Reva Shayne. (edit)

Kim: (on her lack of screen time on Guiding Light in early 2008) I don't know who the powers-that-be dislike more, Kim Zimmer or Reva Shayne.
(edit)
Kim: I've waited my whole life to be 50, because I've always felt I was going to be the next Olympia Dukakis.
(edit)
Kim: I must have cried 15 times a day when we were in Biloxi. Just talking about it makes me want to cry again. Meeting the people who were survivors of that experience and seeing the faith that they always had through that experience, knowing that they would rebuild their lives, they just needed help.
(edit)
Kim: Guiding Light is my life. I could be there for the next twenty years.
(edit)
Kim: (After winning her 4th Daytime Emmy) Maybe the gods are intervening and saying you can't leave now. We'll see what happens.
