Kyal Marsh was first noticed in January 2000 when he appeared in a commercial for Shell. Since then he has appeared in various other commercials as well as a mini-series called Secret Life. However, Kyal is most famous for his role in Neighbours as Boyd Hoyland since 2002. In the modelling industry, Kyal has been used in many a catalogues such as Kmart, Target and Fosseys.
In February 2007, it was revealed that Kyal would film his last scenes in Neighbours in late April, after producers decided not to renew his contract.

I'll also be doing some travelling with Ben Nichols (ex-Stingray), who's currently over in the UK. As sad as this is, it's exciting as well because it's a new beginning for me.

Also, maybe in pilot season at the end of this year, I might head over to LA and try to get an agent there. As you know, the English are massive fans of Neighbours, so hopefully there’s a lot of work to be had.

Kyal: (on leaving “Neighbours“) My contract came to an end and the producers pretty much just felt that my character had come to an end, which was fair enough. I’m surprised that he’s lasted as long as he has. When I first started, I didn’t think I was going to last a few months, but it ended up being five years. I’ve had a good run and I’m happy for the time that I’ve had here, but I’m actually really looking forward to moving on and doing something else as well.
