Kyra Sedgwick: Biography

Kyra Sedgwick was born in New York City, New York, to wealthy parents, and spent her childhood attending private schools. She became a professional actor as a teenager, first appearing in Another World at age 16. She graduated from the University of Southern California, and has appeared in a variety of movies, with her "break-out" role being in Born On The Fourth of July with Tom Cruise. She married husband Kevin Bacon within months of meeting him while acting with him in a movie, and the two of them have appeared in many movies together.
