Notes

add »
Dan mentions he was an Olympic Athlete eight years ago. This would have made him a participant in (presumably) the 1976 Olympics. His skill with throwing a javelin/spear (as seen in "The Golden Cage") suggests he may have been part of the Summer Olympics. (edit)
In an amusing yet low budget touch to make the Giants more alien, we find out they use 6-digit phone numbers. (edit)
Paul Fix reprises his role as Dr. Brulle from "The Creed". (edit)
First on-air appearance of Kevin Hagen as semi-regular Inspector Kobick. (edit)

Trivia

add »
Trivia: Kobrick's phone #: 837-475 (edit)
50-year technology gap: a metal detector capable of sensing a given metal within a distance of miles. (edit)
Within walking distance: Kobick's SID office (although he may have taken over the previously-seen police station) and a food warehouse (edit)
Why does Kobick keep turning off the detector? Several times it would make more sense for him to keep it on and look for other sources of inella metal, such as when he is tracking Mark, Fitzhugh, and Valerie and finds the broach. (edit)
So, did any of the other Earth expeditions have inella metal on them? If so, the teenagers from "The Lost Ones" may be in big trouble. (edit)
