Lane Garrison sentenced to almost three-and-a-half years of prison time for vehicular manslaughter.

There will be no going home from prison for actor Lane Garrison this time if a director yells "Cut!" The 27-year-old actor has been sentenced to three years and four months of jail time yesterday for an auto accident that killed a 17-year old student, according to Reuters.

The former Prison Break actor pleaded guilty to manslaughter in May, after crashing his Land Rover into a tree while under the influence of alcohol and cocaine in December. Two 15-year-old girls were also in the car. They all met Garrison as he was on his way to a party.

Garrison has shown lots of remorse for the incident, and recorded a public-service announcement condemning drunk driving. The actor received half the possible maximum sentence.

Garrison played David "Tweener" Apolskis, an inmate at the fictional Fox River State Penitentiary in the show, and was introduced in the drama's first season. His character was killed off in the second season. He also appeared in the 2007 film Shooter.

I don't get how people can be so mean as to say he should get life yeah he killed someone but he is being punished as any non famous would be and thats good! I was worried that because he is famous he would get off really lightly but this is a good punishment for manslaughter!

I really hope he learn from his mistake and come out as a new person. I saw him in pirson break and it looks like he got a good career ahead of him.
Posted 12/15/2007 12:00am
I can't believe average people are saying he deserves that punishment! I say that his punishment should have been two years (he does not deserve to stay in jail for life!).

I mean sure a passenger died when he crashed his vehicle, but no one should speak ill of his misfortunes. I support the guy.

Lane, I hope you learned your lesson. To me, you really showed what it takes to be part of the Prison Break crew. Hopefully, bail or parole can get to you while you're behind bars for real.

Ha ha ha thats ironic.
He was in a show weher he wants to break out of prison or stop someone breking in or whatvever I dont watch this show but now he gets to go to prison . lol lol lol.

I can't believe how some hypocrites are still yelling that he should spent a lot more years in prison. He made a big mistake that caused an accident. The accident caused one kid to be killed, but they could have died the four or noone.
What the hell were THREE UNDERAGE PEOPLE doing at a Beverly Hills party full of alcohol and drugs? And where were their parents? They should have been taking care of their kids, who should have been at home that night, not at a wild party with drugs and alcohol. What the hell were THREE UNDERAGE PEOPLE doing when they jumped into Garrison's car? Why is noone talking about the drugs and alcohol level on the THREE UNDERAGE PEOPLE's blood?

Only three and a half years? That's a fvcking disgrace. If I walk up the street randomly firing a gun and someone gets killed how long would I get? How is it any different? Through negligence a death is caused, whether by a gun or a car the result is the same.

Let this be an important lesson to everyone. If you're going to drive under the influence, stick with cocaine. Seriously. Drinking and driving ain't no joke.
Posted 11/05/2007 5:22pm
Wow, what an idiot - 27 year old guy with cocaine, booze and 15 year olds. Where was "To Catch a Predator"? Im guessing he wont be staging his own reality version of Prison Break.
Posted 11/05/2007 8:40am
Bad combination cocaine, booze and jailbait. What is a 27 year old doing with 15 year olds???
Posted 11/05/2007 7:29am
I can't believe that everyone is commenting on the drinking. What about the cocaine?
Posted 11/05/2007 12:31am
Whne are people gonna learn that, if you drink, don't drive.

Is it really that complicated???
Posted 11/04/2007 9:45pm
why was he partying with 15 year old girls in the first place? theres his first mistake, he's 27!

I have complete disdain for those here who have made light of this situation or attacked Lane with asinine remarks. This situation is tragic.

I could almost feel bad for Lane, except...

In less than 4 years he will walk through the door of the homes of his friends and/or family. That is something that Vahagn Setian's friends and family will never see again.

I hope everyone associated with this tragedy finds some peace.

uhhh... this is already old news... unless I dream about the future, which I doubt.
Posted 11/04/2007 1:31am
now he will play the same rolde for real. maybe he might escape again and make it a reality show...
Posted 11/04/2007 1:13am
Obviously nothing can undo what he did, or make up for the pain and loss he caused the victim's loved ones... but at least he has been making the effort to educate the public about the dangers of drinking and driving. I think that, seeing as he's going to prison anyway, his show of remorse is not just for show, or just something he's doing because his publicist told him to...I feel like he's genuine about his feelings of shame and guilt and for the rest of his life he'll never be able to get over what happened or forgive himself for what he did that night. I know it's hard to feel sorry for people in his position,,, but I know someone who has had to live with the same type of guilt...and in a lot of ways having to deal with that is much worse than any kind of punishment or prison term he can be given. But he deserves to pay for his crime in that way as well.
Posted 11/03/2007 11:18pm
sorry but he has to pay 4 his crime at this time with no scotfield
Posted 11/03/2007 6:43pm
Oh well, he wasn't anybody anyway.
Posted 11/03/2007 1:42pm
I absolutely hate hearing stories like this!
Posted 11/03/2007 12:54pm
Tisk Tisk!!
Posted 11/03/2007 12:45pm
he killed someone, he should live the rest of his life in prison...
Posted 11/03/2007 12:38pm
forget him, i feel bad for the family of the girl who died...damn
Posted 11/03/2007 10:53am
too bad for the guy but he shud have known better... everyone must pay for their mistakes
Posted 11/03/2007 9:57am
I don't feel bad for him, he deserves to pay for what he did.
Posted 11/03/2007 7:30am
to bad for him
Posted 11/03/2007 6:47am
I feel bad for him. I really think he feels bad too. It's very unfortunate.
Posted 11/03/2007 6:12am
I feel bad for him! I do!
Posted 11/03/2007 4:41am
I feel kinda bad for him... but HELLO, when will people learn not to drink and drive?? Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Posted 11/03/2007 4:27am
I'm not going to judge the guy, he made a bonehead mistake, now he's going to have to live with it.
Posted 11/03/2007 4:07am
you can not judge anyone without knowing them, i meet lane earler this year and spent a few hours with him, he is a really kind person and does not deserve the remarks people are saying about him without even knowing him
Posted 11/03/2007 3:02am
No more Michael to help him out this time.
Posted 11/02/2007 11:41pm
I hope he shares a cell with Avocado this time too. And there won't be any Michael to help him out this time.
Posted 11/02/2007 9:07pm
guess he was not famous enough to get off
Posted 11/02/2007 7:24pm
Good riddance to bad acting.
