Larry Storch saw service as a seaman during World War Two. He served in the military from 1942-1946.

Larry received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Continued Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Comedy Series for F Troop in 1967; he lost out to Don Adams, who won for Get Smart.

Larry was a very popular voice-over talent, providing the voice for several cartoon characters including all-knowing professor Phineas J. Whoopee in the Tennessee Tuxedo cartoon series.

Larry Storch (reminiscing about his old pal Forrest Tucker's memorial service): I guess, my most sincere memory of Forrest was at his memorial, all the stars were there for him, Dorothy Lamour, and many others. Captain Parmenter, actor Ken Berry, was up on stage giving a speech, he looks up at the sky, salutes and says "Well done, Sergeant!" The entire places broke down in tears.
