A group of people who a killer finds unpure, are killed off one by one. Will detective Goren find the killer? hide « show »

I thought the episode was incredibly well thought out and a great way to show case Vincent's immence talant. As Goren and Eames get closer to the killer more and more is revealed about this man's state of mind. One of the greatest scenes in the end of the episode is when Goren is interviewing the suspect and that's when it clicks, you relize the old Goren has finally returned. When they save the girl in the end and she looks up at him it's as though she's seeing an angel. The look in her eyes say it all. Bravo!

    1 Abysmal

Incompletely thought-out and poorly-rendered near-story about a journalist poisoned by the most inconsistent radiation ever invented as a plot element. Or something. It's really hard to tell when the commercials make more sense than the show. hide « show »

Far and away the worst L&OCI I've ever seen. One of the hallmarks of the series is convoluted plots that are tied together satisfyingly at the conclusion of the story. This episode belies that formula by having an incomprehensible plot which leads to no conclusion at all. A man gets radiation poisoning and the actual culprits are never named or seen, let alone brought to justice. The incomprehensibly-bad Captain character flip-flops on his stand about having the detectives work on the case for no apparent reason. There's no payoff because all of the bad guys get away and the only thing accomplished is Logan offending his cardboard cutout of a Captain yet again. Think about it -- essentially THREE murder victims, no perp even suggested, no arrests, no retribution, no redemption for any of the principals. As close as any show in this series has ever gotten to unwatchable.

This show is a classic procedural from NBC's Law & Order group of shows. Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe have been the mainstays of the show and carried it for all of the current seven seasons. Jeff Goldblum joins the cast for season eight. hide « show »

Procedurals are not my thing generally. I watch the original CSI in the off season on DVD as I always enjoy William Petersen, but other than quirky versions like Bones and Castle I haven't been able to get into these type of shows.

When I heard Jeff Goldblum was joining the cast and this show was playing back to back with In Plain Sight on the USA Network, I decided to start checking it out.

Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe are dynamite together as the quirky Goren and Eames. How these two have not won any Emmys to this point is incredible. I have seen about 25 episodes and there wasn't a dud in the group. Over the years there have been a number of other characters rolled in Jamey Sheridan and Courtney B. Vance were the Captain and Assistant DA respectively in the first five seasons. They were replaced with Eric Bogosian who plays Captain Danny Ross which brings us to Goldblum who will play Ross' former partner Det. Zach Nichols. He will be paired in season eight with Julianne Nicholson who has played Det. Megan Wheeler since the sixth season.

Since season five the episodes have gone back and forth between stories featuring two sets of partners. Goren and Eames and Chris Noth as Det. Mike Logan paired with Annabella Sciorra playing Det. Carolyn Barek in season five, then partnered with Wheeler in season six, and finally with Alicia Witt as Det. Nola Falacci in season seven while Wheeler was on sabbatical in Europe.

This is a very entertaining show with interesting psychological overtones. I think one of the reasons I enjoy this show is I identify with the Goren character somewhat. It is always entertaining when you feel a link to the characters of a show.

I'm looking forward to the new season of L&O: CI for many reasons.

    Thanks for reading...

    A great show hide « show »

The show has really good stories and makes you think about the entire plot. I've watched this show many times and I will say that I regret that the new season isn't out there yet.

One of my favourite character is Detective Goren and he is really good at getting the criminal and his method of interrogation. Vincent D'Onofrio is really good actor and I really think that he is what made this show the best.

Detective Eames is also my favourite. The perfect choice to be Goren's partner. Kathryn Erbe is a good actress.

Detectives Goran and Eames are a great match and their personalities mesh very well. Definitely in my favourites show list.
