The Lexx is forced to land on a planet to eat and replenish its energy supply. While they wait, Stanley and Zev go outside to bury Kai, who seems to have run out of the protoblood that kept him functioning. On their way back, Zev insists on investigating a structure. Too late they discover that it is filled with insane people obsessed with getting "clean bodies" to make "pattern".

This episode is not my favourite episodes. In fact it does not come close. It gave me the creeps. Using body parts to make a drink called pattern to feed to a snake like parasite that lives in your neck? Gross! And then making a game of it see who loses their leg on a giant roulette wheel of death while lookers on play music and dance. And what happens if you don't feed the snake? It eats your eyeballs! Anything good in this episode was overshadowed by this and an unoriginal plot. Good things about this episode? At least Kai didn't die for good!
